Burn That Fat - Never Go Hungry - The Golden Path To Healthy Weight Loss!

Do you truly want to lose weight?

Well there's a secret… but I'm not going to tell you till the end of this article. You have to wade through all of the boring stuff first to get to the real gold. That's how it works. You can't just open a novel and read the last page.

Or what if you went to a movie and they just showed the closing scene? You'd feel totally ripped off…right?

So here are a few things you can try… I found them in other articles. They're all a part of the solution… you'll find them beneficial, but they won't really do the job for you. They won't take off the weight you want to lose.

Here's one:

* "Weight loss is a time-consuming and difficult process, but one that can be made easier if you are ready to adapt to lifestyle changes..."

No! No! No! I'm going to show you how weight loss can be easy, painless and healthy. You'll make a few minor changes in what you eat but it doesn't need to be a struggle.

* "Stop Chasing the Latest Fad Diet"

This is good advice, because generally diets make you fat. You lose the weight but even more comes back on.

* "Get up off the Couch and Start Exercising"

More good advice! Moderat cardio-vascular exercise promotes hormones in the body that improve the function of insulin and move your blood sugar into your muscles instead of onto your belly.

But you need to do enormous amounts of exercise for this alone to do the weight loss job. Not a lot of fun in that!

* "Eat Right, Eat Slowly and Eat Healthy"

More good advice… but not for now. This is for later, after you've lost the weight and want to maintain your new weight.

There's only one way that I know of that absolutely makes weight loss easy and permanent.

You absolutely cannot afford to get hungry while you're trying to lose weight. It spells disaster and is the "Number One" reason that will cause you to fall off your weight loss program.

Ideally you want an eating plan that is economically feasible, takes off weight at a satisfyingly fast pace, and does it in such a way that you get all of your nutrition needs met, lose significant weight starting with your belly first and you never go hungry in the process.

I can show you how to do that!

carbohydrate addiction and losing weight.

Burn That Fat - How To Lose 10 Pounds In 10 Days!

10 pounds in 10 days! Everyone seems to like this formula! It has a certain ring to it, doesn't it?

Here's what I hear:

"I've got a wedding coming up in 2 weeks and I need to lose 10 pounds to fit into my outfit… and I can't afford a new one."

Or: "If I can't lose it fast then I don't want to do it… it's just too much torture!"

Is it possible to lose 10 pounds in 10 days?

Of course it is!

Let's look at how we might do this:

First off… I think exercise is totally out of the question!

If you're already fit enough to do the exercise to lose 10 pounds that fast then you won't be carrying the 10 pounds to start with. The rest of us will die of exhaustion along the way. It's really, really difficult to bring off big time weight loss short term with exercise.

O.K! Idea Number 2: You can fast for 10 days. Wouldn't be fun, but if there's a diet to help you lose 10 pounds in 10 days then fasting has to be faster. Problem is you'd assume a serious health risk and the weight loss would be mostly water and muscle anyway. Your body will think there's a famine so will hang onto the fat.

Variation on Number 2: Go on a really demanding diet. Same problems.

Or you can try the lemonade and maple syrup diet! Dangerous to your system too, but doesn't require the same discipline or create the same pain as the fasting or really lo-cal diet because the sugar in the maple syrup curbs the hunger somewhat. But at the end of it you've totally screwed up your system, spiked your blood sugar all day and you'll just put it all back on as fat again anyway.

But sugar isn't as damaging as highly refined carbs. Your body runs on glucose and most sugar we eat is sucrose. … it converts to glucose in the blood more slowly than carbs. Carbs are vicious… they start converting to glucose in the mouth as soon as they encounter your saliva.

But you will look good for the wedding!

There's another way that will take off the 10 pounds in 10 days and put you in position to continue losing weight at a steady rate until you hit your ideal target.

You have to change your eating habits, eliminate refined carbs, stop spiking your blood sugar and insulin systems, if you are going to take control of the fat making processes of your body.

Ideally you want an eating plan that does all of that in such a way that you get all of your nutrition needs met, lose significant weight starting with your belly first and you never go hungry in the process.

I can show you how to do that!

The South Beach Diet - Does It Really Work?

Sounds good… hang at the beach all day and get thin! Maybe get a walk-on part in Baywatch?

Perhaps not! Unfortunately this diet plan has nothing to do with hangin' at the beach other than the fact that Dr. Agatston, who created the South Beach diet lives or practices medicine in South Beach, Florida.

What is the South Beach Diet?

It's a diet that shoots to achieve a healthy balance between carbohydrates and fats--good carbs and good fats. Highly processed foods like baked goods, sweets, and soft drinks spike our blood sugar. In those who are susceptible they create carbohydrate addiction and eventually lead to insulin resistance and metabolic syndrome. Sugars in the blood stop being effectively absorbed by the muscles and instead get converted to fat and deposited around the belly.

Dr. Agatston says that decreasing the highly processed carbs in your diet can help you reverse this syndrome and improve insulin resistance, leading to weight loss.

So here's the big question… does it work?

Yes… it does seem to get results.

The diet is founded on the principle that high-glycemic carbohydrates-those with a glycemic index of 55 or higher such as white bread, potatoes and white rice (which Dr. Agatston calls bad carbs) lead to weight gain and eventual diabetes and heart disease.

On the South Beach Diet you would consume more low-glycemic carbs, or good carbs, such as whole grains and vegetables. These are absorbed gradually into the blood stream and so don't trigger the spikes in your sugar/insulin cycle.

Amazingly the weight loss benefits of this diet are a secondary outcome; they were not the original intention. Dr. Agatston designed his diet to help his cardiac patients maintain a healthy lifestyle and lose weight. When lots of patients began to report positive weight loss he decided he was onto something and quickly dashed off the book.

You work the diet in three phases, which initially restrict certain foods and then restore them to your diet.

In Phase 1, which lasts 14 days you eliminate most of the carbs from your diet and instead you eat protein-rich foods, such as lean meats, chicken, fish, nuts, cheese, eggs, vegetables and olive oil.

Cravings for bad carbohydrates should be eliminated by the end of this phase.

The second phase lasts until you reach your target weight, and is less restrictive than Phase 1. Shoot to lose one to two pounds per week.

You can eat good carbs like whole grain breads, sweet potatoes, brown rice, pasta and fruit. You can also have chocolate and wine in moderate amounts.

Once you hit your target weight you should be coasting. The diet becomes part of your life style, you're eating complex carbs again and the carb cravings should be gone.

All in all this is quite a successful diet, not too limiting or restrictive and you will lose weight.

On the other side of the coin, people become frustrated with the time involved in preparing the meals. As well as that, this is not a low cost diet solution… some of the recommended foods can be quite expensive.

Bottom line… this doesn't seem to be a diet that people are inclined to get into for the rest of their life. It's work intensive and somewhat expensive. It's my experience that if a diet gets too complex to prepare and maintain then people don't persist and they don't achieve their desired result.

Much better would be a plan that is low cost, simple, everything is prepackaged and prepared for you and you would be happy to stay on it for life; a diet that is healthy, tasty, satisfying and allows you to lose those pounds and easily maintain a healthy weight long term… and you would never need to go hungry.

If you're interested I can show you a plan like that.

The Atkins Diet - How Good Is It Really?

The Atkins Diet is one of the most popular diets around, but it has been in for a lot of criticism too. Medical experts can't agree. Some say it's excellent and others think it's dangerous.

The safe approach is that you can lose weight on the plan but you should only stay on it for a short time.

However lots of people have lost weight on this program… so what's all the noise about?

It's about the fat in the diet!

The Atkins diet is very high in fat… in fact it's at the opposite extreme to the low-fat hi-carb diet that was popular not so long ago.

We want to lose weight, but lots of people, especially those with a cholesterol issue, just don't want to risk all that fat in their diet.

"But"… say the Atkins supporters, "we don't use saturated fats. We concentrate on the good fats like olive oil". And they have a point! Mood control and proper brain function require some of the components found in these "good" fats. But it seems to me there's a lot of fatty meats involved.

And then there's the exercise question… mild aerobic exercise like walking 20 to 30 minutes, three to five times a week has a highly beneficial impact on reducing insulin resistance, which is key to burning off that fat.

The Atkins plan is criticized for its focus on food without giving enough attention to the exercise component. This isn't entirely accurate because exercise is mentioned in the Atkins plan, but the major emphasis is placed on changing our food choices.

Maintaining the Atkins diet plan over the long haul can also be a challenge for some because of the high fat content, but others say this isn't a problem because the food is more flavorful than lo-cal foods and helps to suppress appetite.

And what about the bad breath and constipation… not attractive personal characteristics to be carrying around with us!

Very few people seem to be able to stick with this diet plan for the long term and seem to gain back the weight once they quit. And there are definitely some potential health risks with the high fat component.

Bottom line… this doesn't seem to be a diet you can get into for the rest of your life.

It seems to me that most people approach a diet as something they can work for a while, lose some weight and then quit and go back to their old ways. Diets are just too restrictive for most people.

Much better would be a plan you can stay on for life; a diet that is healthy, tasty, satisfying and allows you to lose those pounds and easily maintain a healthy weight long term… and you never need to go hungry.

If you're interested I can show you a plan like that.

Burn That Fat - Never Go Hungry - Here's a Surefire Plan!

Have you ever found yourself here?

You gain weight, you hate the way you look, you feel dreadful, your clothes don't fit… it's time to diet.

So you hear about the new super diet and you get all excited and try that. You feel hungry all the time on the diet so you pretty soon fall off the wagon… but then… to your dismay… you put on more than you lost.!

And the cycle repeats!

What's happening here?

Pretty simple but not so obvious. Diet's don't make you thin… they make you fat!

When you eat less to lose weight your body goes onto "famine alert". It says: "Wow, there must be a shortage of food. I'd better conserve". And your body reaches out and dials in a lower metabolic rate to make the food go further.

You don't just want to lose the weight… what you really want is to lose the fat. If you drop your weight quickly you lose water, muscle and other lean tissue that makes up 25% of what you lose.

Why is this?

Your body conserves fat in case there's a famine… it's in your genes. So if your body thinks there's a famine happening, it will actually break down muscle and lose water to protect those fat reserves.

On top of that if you get on a fast track weight loss program by eating a lot less and then go back to eating normally, a much higher percentage of the food you eat is laid down as fat.

Why?

Because your body is playing it safe… it's preparing for the next famine… just in case!

And then there's your metabolism. When you crash diet, your metabolism slows down to conserve energy and eke the most out of the meager amounts you're feeding it. When you go back to eating normally your metabolism stays at the slower rate… you store more fat!

So what are we to do?

Well the trick is to eat in such a way that you lose weight… but your body doesn't panic.

Don't crash diet! Be willing to give the process a chance. The real enemy in the equation is the typical North American fast food diet rich in highly processed carbohydrates… not to forget all those low fat, high carb snacks like low fat chips.

It's the carbs that do you in. They spike your blood sugar levels repeatedly and eventually you become insulin insensitive and can't metabolize the sugars in your bloodstream. They get converted to fat instead of energy and muscle.

The secret to success is to get off highly processed carbs completely and then over time re-introduced them in their natural complex form. (Potatoes are bad, bad, bad… they're just waiting in ambush to bring you down).

I can show you how to reverse that carbohydrate addiction and as a bonus lose up to 5 pounds or more in 5 days.

You will lose your food cravings and not go hungry. It's true! We have huge success with this program.

Burn That Fat---Never Go Hungry--Here's how to do it!

I don't know anyone who wants to battle those hunger cravings while they're on a diet.

How about you?

The last thing we want in a diet is to have to be disciplined, white knuckle it, hang in there and hope we'll be strong… it just isn't fun! In fact it's misery!

And every time, somewhere along the way, we break down and reach for those carbs… our old and trusted friend that brings us comfort in the dark times. And all the weight we've lost comes rushing back on.

Is that a familiar story?

Those carbohydrates are not really your friends. In fact they're your enemy.

They stroll on in, all smiles saying: "Hi there good lookin', you seem down today. Let me make you feel better". Here… have some of this delicious cake. You eat the carbs and before you know it you've fallen off your diet plan.

Now you know you're worthless… you've failed again!

So what can we do to make this easier?

The thing is very simply this… carbs make you hungry and carbs create fat.

I can go into all of the body chemistry about why this is so… and I have done in lots of articles… but I don't think most people really care.

So let's look at it this way: Carbohydrates are highly addictive. They're as bad or worse than alcohol and drugs. Not everyone is set up to get addicted to carbohydrates, but if you are susceptible then carbohydrates will take you down.

It's not your fault!!!

You fall into this trap by accident. After all, carbs are food and we all like food. And carbs are delicious and satisfying.

But carbs screw with our insulin/sugar cycles and eventually (often it takes years) we become "insulin insensitive" and our muscles and lean tissue can no longer take up the glucose in our bloodstream. The glucose is then deposited as fat around our belly and in our liver.

At this point in our lives we can actually begin to eat less calories and gain weight.

If we continue to eat a diet rich in highly processed carbohydrates, we will continue to gain weight and eventually contract Diabetes 2 and heart disease.

We hear a lot of talk about high glycemic foods these days. These are foods which are quickly and easily converted into glucose in our blood by our stomach. They spike our blood sugar levels way above the normal operating range and trigger massive inflows of insulin to our system. This is how the problem starts and continues.

The solution is very simple. Get off those high glycemic foods and get onto a diet rich in protein, fruits, vegetables and unprocessed natural grains.

I can show you how to reverse that carbohydrate addiction and as a bonus lose up to 5 pounds or more in 5 days.

You will lose your food cravings and not go hungry. If you continue with the program for 12 weeks or more you will almost certainly lose significant amounts of weight and begin to restore your health.
